The way I was going to take in order to pass my message prove to be a challenge.  I researched the internet to find techniques I could use in order to make my video look more professional, and I found the parallax effect. The way I came up with the idea came from a specific channel in YouTube which belongs to an online news website called VOX. The YouTube channel focusses a lot of it's content into problems of todays society and frequently asked questions by the public. In these type of videos, the editors of the website use this effect to create images in photoshop with motion graphics. So the idea to mix some real time footage with the parallax effect was a perfect opportunity to showcase the skills I have leaned throughout this course in both software and hardware.

Vox

For my intro I will be using the Alpha Matte effect from my previous blog post. The Alpha Matte technique is fascinating and I had seen it before. In the early 2000s when George Lucas released all the Star Wars movies in DVD, there was a cut scene when the viewer was arriving in the main menu. That cut scene was the logo of Star Wars with each letter showing a different part of the movie you were going to see. It is a very professional technique and fits perfectly as the intro to my video.

The video will also include footage that I filmed my self, either by a drone or my Leica video camera.
My main goal is to include as many impressive skills in the software I am using as I could, while also create a project that is an embodiment of the skills and qualifications I have possessed from my Media 2 module (Filmmaking techniques, mise-en-scene and more).

Reflection: By working to develop my ideas, I learn step by step how to fix my mistakes, whilst also making this process easier and easier and focussing more into investing my time onto the final product and making it more amusing.

    So the Star Wars video is the Alpha Matte effect... Do you have a video example of the parallax effect too? That would help, rather than the Vox poster.

About Me page on my website

  About me page: I wrote a small paragraph discussing who I am, what I am doing now and what are my intentions for the future. Also I included some information about my educational background but also my experience in my field of study. I have been experimenting with the tool bar to edit how my text is being presented to the viewer and did some adaptions to my written text. Furthermore I changed the background to the one with the New York skyline so my Welcome page and the page about me can be related as the pages to introduce and talk about me. Afterwards I added a professional picture of me taken at Bristol UK. I made sure that I chose a picture that makes me look confident in order to appeal more to my viewer that I am a student with passion and certainty. In order for the "About me" page to be relevant to the other pages I changed the background and changed the font of the letters. Brainstorming Ideas in 20 minutes!

  As a session practical exercise we had to brainstorm 20 ideas in 20 minutes It is important that when an artist is generating ideas, he should present a variety of topics  I finished the 20 ideas afterwards and here are the final ideas. Lets go through them together: All the ideas from number one to number seven are Covid-19 related. All this ideas are various things that I think could make a compelling video idea.The other ideas are fun little experiments I want to make. For example ideas like the one with the animated character in real life and the called "Small things that we all do and nobody admits" are some fun concepts for small videos.In this mix there are also some topics that I think can be discussed on a 5 minute long video filled with graphs and examples.This kind of ideas were " The false idea about video games", "Why animals do not have wheels?", "The electricity War" and "The evolution of species".
