User Experience

Image
Zeeshan's Website The home page is very clear and very pleasing to the eye. The photograph in the background combined with the transparent menu create an aesthetic vibe to the reader. Everything is here and clear, the name of the owner of the website and what he is studying. The about me page is also very straight forward and includes a professional portrait. The additional links to the page add to the experience, as they give the chance to the reader to visit other pages and view the work of this artist as well. It is always nice to see the page ,that contains the work of the website creator, have a clear structure. The buttons work perfectly and the links between the pages are functional. The overall look of the page is colour balanced, and the black background adds contrast with the pictures of the buttons Lastly, the contact page is simple and easy to navigate, and the links also lead to other pages that also contain nice pieces of work by Zeeshan!

Final Post

The End Working on this project was a great experience and one that taught me a lot. I did not focus on the things I wanted to say, but the way I said them. I used this term to practise and learn new programmes and techniques, that they seemed impossible to use i n the past. My first term in this module was disappointing because I was not doing enough software research to explore new things and learn about Adobe's programmes, so I was only using iMovie, a software that is very limiting and was not proven good for my project. On my second term I decided to step it up a lot and learn to use Photoshop and Character Animator, as well as Premier Pro to work on my projects, and from then I was stunned. This term was the big finale so I wanted to work with a program that is difficult but great if you learn it, After Effects. My photographs were also edited on Adobe Lightroom and that helped me get into photography and fall in love with editing. Reflection: It was great learning all these...

Customer Profile on Venngage

Image
Intro Venngage is a website that helps you create customer profiles that inform the viewer for the demographic of the people that you expect to view your work. For me I did it for my dog Mona. Firstly, I chose a template that would fit the profile I wanted. Then I replaces the image given with an image of my dog and added some information in there using lines to make it more visually pleasing. Then I replaced the given text with  my own and I completed the customer profile. Reflection: I did not find Venngage a website that I would use because it is very simple and does not give a lot of space to do anything unless I upgrade to the premium plan.

Alpha Matte Title and 3D tracking

Image
Mixing techniques It is vital for a person to build upon his skills, and finding new ways to improve his work. For me it was the idea to mix 3D Tracking text with the Alpha Matte Technique. I started by creating a new project in After Effects and the importing the background layer. The background was a 4K drone video that I filmed with the help of a drone expert. I searched the 3D tracking effect from the Effects and Presets panel and dragged it into my timeline and above my composition. The program started analysing the video in order to pin point locations. Once the video was analysed I selected a pin point and the I right clicked and chose tracking text. We have our text so now is time to do the alpha matte effect. I placed the footage underneath the text asset and selected Alpha Matte "ISSUES". Then I scaled it down and I had the title sequence ready to place in Premiere Pro. Reflection: When I thought of this mixture of After Effects Techniques, I realised how powerful ...

Making the Hologram

Image
The Idea Initial idea: This idea came to me whilst watching the documentary "The Great Hack" and "Social Dilemma". Both these documentary used sensational visual effects to elevate their scenes and aim to impact the audience. This is why I wanted to include an unrealistic and futuristic effect, thus came the idea for a holographic screen. Software:For this effect I chose  Premiere Pro and iMovie to create this effect. The program iMovies was used just for the assembly of a small video to work as a plot device for the narrative of the story. Premiere Pro was the main tool for this project, so it would only be natural that I used it for my effect. I started by importing the video from iMovie into Premiere and drag and dropped it above my footage. Now we are ready for editing! The Looks It was important to make the hologram look realistic and like something from the future, so I went into the effects panel and searched for the RGB colour balance effect. This effect al...

Assembly in Premier Pro

Image
The Beginning Every project has a start, and after I conducted all of my research it was time to start assembling the video. I imported all the assets that were already edited and ready to enter into the timeline, and also placed the introduction clip from the previous blog post into the Premiere Pro file. The sound effect is a keyboard typing one. I added this to add a little realism into the intro and have a little sound so that it would look more professional. To make it realistic I edited the sound to match the text that was shown into the screen. This means that the word "THAS" which was using the scale up animation technique with letter preference was perfect for this effect. Afterwards I cut the part of the intro that was extra and kept it under 5 seconds so that it would not take time from the actual video. The idea I was going for was a hologram television coming out of a very slim look alike phone. In order to do that I needed to create a small video that I would t...
