The effect of 3D tracking is a good way to add text in a way that looks professional and adds a nice style to the video. This effect can be achieved in two ways. The first is by using Null objects and tracking points to establish the sense of space for the program to generate and track movement. I have tested this method in a previous blog post titled " Introduction to After Effects and Testing". In this blog post I explain how I be using a 3D tracking effect from the Effects panel to track the camera movement and how you add the text. This method will inform my work greatly because it is a great way to add exposition into a story by text and make it look stylish and good to the eye of the viewer.

First of all I opened After Effects and clicked on File> New > New Project.

I then added a 4K video from a drone. The man who helped me film this Sotiris Gregoriou was okay with the me using the videos.

I imported the video in After Effects and drag and dropped it into my timeline. The I searched for the 3D Camera Tracking effect and waited the program to analyse the footage.

After the footage was analysed, the footage will have some pin points that can help us identify were we want our text to look at. I can pin point the location using the red disk. The disk uses the nearest points to identify the space around.

I chose the right way and then clicked on it. The I pressed Right Click and chose the "Create Text" option.

To control the text I pressed on the red asset, and then used the rotation tool to establish the position of the text on the Y, Z and X axis. I clicked the mouse to change the text and the fond.

After that I played with the animation techniques and the keyframes to animate the text.

Reflection: For each project I worked on this module, I wanted to do something new. After the animation character in my last project I wanted to start creating videos using After Effects, just to learn a program that gives a lot of freedom to create something unique. It help develop my ideas and my skills as a content creator.
