Website Final review and UX testing

Website

An artist's website is the way he or she demonstrates his or her work to the public.
My Website that was created in Wix.com helped me create a place where I would showcase my work and the projects I have been working on.

To make sure that my website would be pleasing to see as a viewer I was answering the UX testing form so that I would not make any mistakes regarding user experience.

Home Page



According to the UX testing form, the home page should:
1.Be pleasing to look at
2. Clearly the student's progression route
3.Include links to Social Media
4. Have a navigation menu
5.The navigation bar should be clear and easy to use
6.The links of the Social Media should work correctly

I made my best to include everything that my homepage needed, a background photograph, as well as a logo and a text that show my progression route. Furthermore, a menu bar on the top that is easy to navigate and a working Blogger icon that when the user clicks it, it open another window with my Blogger account

About&Contact page




The contact page and "About me " page should:
1. Be pleasing to look at
2. A photograph or design
3.A well written Biography
4. The contact page should work properly

Both off my pages seem to be pleasant to look at, because I emphasised on the symmetry of the texts and the images. Both my pages include photographs of my self with the "About me page" also including a portrait. In the page about me, I structured it into small sections so that it would be easier for the eyes of the viewer. Lastly, the contact form was tested and worked perfectly as shown in the image below. The image in the contact page was edited using the photo editor of the website.

The Gallery Page

The Gallery page is important because is where I will be showcasing my work. I created sub-pages underneath the film portfolio section with buttons that lead the viewer to the video of his choice.
The Gallery page should:
1.Have Pages that are functional
2. Each part have an introduction
3.All the included work have titles
4.The pages should work and be easy to use 
5. To navigate easily
6. The videos be displayed at their best

Image 2&3: The videos have proper titles that also includes a small description of the video



Images 4&5: Every page that includes a video has a description of the small film.


The website was also viewed on a mobile device and it was working perfectly




Website

The Website in general should:
1.Be consisted
2. Easy to navigate
3. Be a good experience

Overall, I believe that I have created a website that shows my work in a more professional way, with the viewer being capable to navigate easily and have a nice experience. If I could change anything it would be the template used at the begging because it would help me showcase my work even better.

About Me page on my website

  About me page: I wrote a small paragraph discussing who I am, what I am doing now and what are my intentions for the future. Also I included some information about my educational background but also my experience in my field of study. I have been experimenting with the tool bar to edit how my text is being presented to the viewer and did some adaptions to my written text. Furthermore I changed the background to the one with the New York skyline so my Welcome page and the page about me can be related as the pages to introduce and talk about me. Afterwards I added a professional picture of me taken at Bristol UK. I made sure that I chose a picture that makes me look confident in order to appeal more to my viewer that I am a student with passion and certainty. In order for the "About me" page to be relevant to the other pages I changed the background and changed the font of the letters. Brainstorming Ideas in 20 minutes!

  As a session practical exercise we had to brainstorm 20 ideas in 20 minutes It is important that when an artist is generating ideas, he should present a variety of topics  I finished the 20 ideas afterwards and here are the final ideas. Lets go through them together: All the ideas from number one to number seven are Covid-19 related. All this ideas are various things that I think could make a compelling video idea.The other ideas are fun little experiments I want to make. For example ideas like the one with the animated character in real life and the called "Small things that we all do and nobody admits" are some fun concepts for small videos.In this mix there are also some topics that I think can be discussed on a 5 minute long video filled with graphs and examples.This kind of ideas were " The false idea about video games", "Why animals do not have wheels?", "The electricity War" and "The evolution of species".
