Editing the video for my major project
I filmed my self asking question about media and the pandemic. Then I transferred the videos from my SD card using a type C adaptor to my Mac book.
I collected all my videos on iMovie and I started editing the clips together.
Putting this video together has proven a little challenge because I had a lot of content and I needed to stay in my time limit, so I had to cut a lot of the scenes out. I achieved that by splitting the clips and then deleting what I though was not necessary to include in the video
First of all I selected the camera stabilisation feature so that the footage I included when I asked the questions was not shaky so the viewer could focus to the answers and the footage would look more professional and not tiring.
Then I selected the music I had for this part of the video and I decreased its volume in order to make it act like background noise and not gain all the attention.
I added text before the answer by drag and dropping them from the tool bar above
To add videos that were included to my research through the internet I copied their urls and convert them using YouTube to mp4 site on google chrome.
Then I started editing the clips ones I added them into the video so that I would keep the parts I wanted.
Afterwards for the parts of the video I was talking I recorded them using the voice recorder on my phone and my Kraken Pro Razer headset. Afterwards I emailed the voice recordings through the email I created in week 1 of the module.
Then I added the small recordings after I cropped out the parts I did not use and drag and drop them below the footage but above the background music.

Reflection: Working on my major project was a great experience and something that helped me try out new things. I would want to put more time into filming it but due to the fact that the government issued a lockdown I was not able to film all the things I wanted. Still I hope that everyone will enjoy it.
